For Accounting

AI is the new staff accountant. You stay the CPA.

A human-first AI track for accounting teams: managers who review, carry the compliance, and own the client relationships, and staff who handle the daily entries, reconciliations, and documentation. AI carries the repetitive drafting at staff-accountant speed; you keep the judgment, the numbers, and the signature. Built around the reality of a small firm: tax-season bottlenecks, manual handoffs, 1099 and W-9 season, and the confidentiality line that never moves.

    Reframing AI for Accounting

Stop thinking "AI is for tech firms." It is the staff accountant that does your repetitive drafting: fast, tireless, and confidently wrong unless you check it. You stay the CPA. Money, compliance, and the signature never leave your hands.

    Build Your Practice Context Document

A one-page "About my practice" you paste at the top of every AI chat about your work, so you stop re-explaining the firm and the drafts stop coming back generic. Build it with the Practice Context Document tool, and draw the confidentiality line that holds for the whole track.

    Client Documents & Reconciliation

Speed the two jobs that eat the most staff time: triaging an inbound client document set and turning a finished reconciliation into a plain-language client summary. AI structures and drafts; every figure is yours, verified, and client identifiers never go in.

    Tax Research & Advisory Prep

Compress research from hours to minutes and walk into advisory meetings prepared. AI drafts a grounded research memo and a client briefing; you verify every authority and decide what is advice. The fabricated-citation risk is the whole reason this module exists.

    Systematize Your 1099 / W-9 Season

Turn the annual 1099 and W-9 scramble into a documented, repeatable, AI-assisted workflow with human checkpoints on every filing and threshold, the kind a staff accountant can run the same way every year. You confirm every threshold against current IRS guidance, because they change.

    Hard Conversations: Practice with AI

Use AI to play the person you have to reach, a skeptical partner, a fee-pushback client, or a disorganized first-timer, so you can practice the hard conversation before it counts. Win them over; do not out-argue them.

    The Prompt Architecture: T.E.C.R.E.I.

Stop hunting for clever wording. A reliable prompt has six parts. Fill all six and the quality stops being luck.

    Advancing Prompting

Once the architecture is solid, these six techniques raise the ceiling: reverse, recursive, self-critique, deeper reasoning, debate, and creative temperature. Optional depth: be comfortable with the T.E.C.R.E.I. basics first.

    Mastering AI Research

AI invents facts when it has none. Research mode fixes that by grounding every answer in sources you trust. Includes NotebookLM fundamentals.

Build once, reuse everywhere

Your Practice Context Document

Build the one-page "About my practice" you paste at the top of every AI conversation about your work, whether you review and sign or handle the daily entries. Answer these once, then reuse it on every client; update it when a real thing changes and otherwise leave it alone. Keep client identifiers out entirely: no names, SSNs, EINs, account numbers, or specific taxpayer data. Describe clients in patterns and use role labels like "the Client," "Vendor A," and "the Owner."
