Design Intelligence & Plugins
A design database the assistant can draw on.
What you'll be able to do
- Explain what design intelligence and plugins add to an assistant
- Synthesize a DESIGN.md from an existing UI you already trust
- Use the synthesized system to keep new work consistent with the old
A reference library the assistant can draw on
Design intelligence is a structured reference the assistant can pull from: known styles, palettes, font pairings, and UX rules. Plugins connect that intelligence to where you work. It is the difference between an assistant guessing at "what looks good" and one that can reach for an established palette or a proven font pairing on request. It widens what the studio assistant knows. It does not replace your judgment about what fits your brand.
Synthesizing a DESIGN.md from existing UI
You do not always start from a blank brief. Often you already have a product or a page that works, and you want new work to match it. The move is to synthesize a DESIGN.md from the existing UI: have the assistant read the screens, infer the color roles, the type scale, the spacing rhythm, and the component patterns, and write them down as a system. You verify and correct what it inferred, then reuse that system so everything new stays consistent with what already works. The assistant extracts the pattern; you confirm it is the real standard.
